  • Alaska Youth Choir, 1 p.m., at the Nugget Mall.
  • Auke Bay Fire Station annual holiday open house, 1-3 p.m., Auke Bay Fire Station, 119900 Glacier Highway. Families can visit volunteer firefighters, decorate cookies, read children's stories and meet Santa Claus.
  • Live Nativity, 6:30-8 p.m., Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10300 Glacier Highway, across from DMV in the Mendenhall Valley. Refreshments provided. Details: 790-4267.
  • Five Finger Chamber Music concert, 7 p.m., Northern Light United Church, 400 W. 11th St. Featuring San Francisco Symphony artists Steve Paulson and Gretchen Klein, with local pianist Mary Watson.
